Complex Recordings 1970-71

The band were encouraged to make the recordings where it was most convenient - in the Dining Room at Brian's parents' house - 107 St. Annes Road East in St. Annes - later to become known as "107 Studio". Later sessions were also held at a spare room upstairs in a pub at Freckleton - "The Plough". The resulting tapes were of quite reasonable quality and were duly sent to a pressing plant in Scotland.  The choice of pressing plant was somewhat of a mistake - the final record quality was abysmal!  However nothing could be done about it - timescales were critical in sending the albums out - we had to make do with what we had.
